    1. Introduction

    This Privacy Policy explains how BreezeCheck ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the BreezeCheck service, including the website, apps, and related features. By using BreezeCheck you agree to this Privacy Policy. For any privacy question or data request, email support@breezecheck.com.

    2. Information we collect

    We collect information you provide and information generated as you use the service, including: • Account information: email address, user ID, authentication metadata (such as login timestamps), and account settings. • Profile settings and preferences. • Content you submit: text, questions, prompts, screenshots, images, product labels, email screenshots, links, transcripts, notes, ratings, personal decisions, and files you upload. • Generated content: reviews, summaries, verdicts, confidence indicators, limitations, source references, extracted claims, and other outputs produced for you. • Library, Collections, Action List entries, reminders, and exports you create. • Public share link data if you choose to create a share. • Support requests, feedback submissions, and flagged content. • Purchase and subscription metadata from our payment provider (for example plan, price, subscription status, receipt IDs) — we do not receive or store full payment card numbers. • Credit ledger and usage data (such as credits granted, spent, refunded, or purchased). • Device, browser, and log data (such as user-agent, approximate timestamps, error logs). • Analytics events describing how features are used. • Email preferences, unsubscribe status, and delivery/suppression data. • Internal-account flags for admin, test, QA, and demo accounts where applicable.

    3. How we use information

    We use information to: provide and operate BreezeCheck; generate reviews and summaries you request; save Library, Collections, Action List, and related records; process credits, subscriptions, and top-up purchases; provide support; prevent fraud, abuse, duplicate-account misuse, and security incidents; measure and improve product quality and performance; send transactional, lifecycle, support, and account emails you have not opted out of; and comply with applicable law.

    4. AI, source, and search providers

    To generate a review, some of the content you submit may be transmitted to AI, source, or search providers acting on our behalf, only to the extent needed to produce the response shown to you and operate the service. We do not control third-party providers and cannot guarantee their availability or that outputs are accurate, complete, or current. Where a provider's terms permit us to opt out of training on submitted content, we prefer providers and settings that do so, but we do not warrant that submitted content is never used to improve third-party systems.

    5. Uploaded files and private media

    Uploaded media (such as images, label photos, and email screenshots) is stored in private storage and is accessed through signed, short-lived URLs where implemented. Uploaded media is not made public unless you use a supported sharing feature that explicitly includes it.

    6. Public share links

    Your Library, Collections, Action List, private notes, personal ratings, and personal decisions are private to your account by default. When you create a public share link, the review information that link exposes may be viewable by anyone who has the link. Private notes, personal ratings, and personal decisions are excluded from shared reviews. You are responsible for what you choose to share and with whom you share links.

    7. Analytics, cookies, and similar technologies

    We use Google Analytics to understand how the app is used, improve product quality, and diagnose problems. Analytics events include information such as page views, which input type you chose, verdict and confidence summaries, and latency. Analytics events do not include the claim text you submit, uploaded files, source excerpts, your private notes, or other content you upload. We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for authentication, session state, product preferences, and analytics. If you disable cookies or local storage, parts of the service may not function.

    8. Payment processing

    Payments are processed by Stripe, our payment provider. BreezeCheck does not receive or store full payment card numbers. Stripe's terms and privacy policy apply to payment processing. We retain billing metadata (such as plan, receipts, invoice IDs, and subscription status) for account, support, tax, and legal purposes.

    9. Emails and communications

    We send transactional emails needed to operate your account, such as sign-up confirmation, sign-in links, password reset, security notices, receipts, and support responses. We may also send lifecycle or onboarding emails to help you get value from BreezeCheck. You can unsubscribe from lifecycle and non-essential emails from the unsubscribe link in those messages or from your account preferences. Transactional, security, and account-critical emails may still be sent even after you unsubscribe from lifecycle emails.

    10. Support, feedback, and admin review

    Support requests, feedback submissions, and flagged content may be reviewed by BreezeCheck administrators for support, safety, abuse prevention, debugging, quality review, and product improvement. Admin review is internal and does not make your private content public. We do not use your private content to train external AI models.

    11. How we share information

    We share information only with service providers that help us operate BreezeCheck and only as needed for their role. These providers may include hosting and backend infrastructure, database and storage providers, AI/source/search providers, analytics providers, email providers, payment processors, and security or fraud-prevention providers. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect our rights, or protect the safety of users and the public.

    12. Data retention

    We retain account data while your account is active. Submitted content and generated reviews are retained until you delete them or your account is deleted, subject to routine backups, security logs, and legal or accounting requirements. Analytics and diagnostic logs are retained for limited operational periods. Support records are retained as needed to provide support and address safety or legal matters. Billing records are retained as required for accounting, tax, and legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it on a reasonable schedule.

    13. Deletion and account controls

    You can delete individual submissions and their uploaded media, and you can delete your account and data from the Profile page. When you delete your account, we remove your submissions, uploaded media, assessments, sources, risk flags, saved items, and admin review entries, and we anonymize your profile. Some records may remain in routine backups, security logs, billing records, or legal records for limited periods. To request deletion by email, contact support@breezecheck.com.

    14. Your privacy rights

    Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to opt out of certain communications, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights. To exercise these rights, use the controls on the Profile page or email support@breezecheck.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Where allowed by law, we may decline requests that are unfounded, excessive, or that we are legally required to refuse.

    15. Children and minors

    BreezeCheck is intended for users 18 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take appropriate steps to delete it. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact support@breezecheck.com.

    16. Security

    We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, such as access controls, transport encryption, private storage buckets, and short-lived signed URLs for private media. No system is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and for keeping your contact email up to date.

    17. International users

    BreezeCheck is operated from the United States. If you use BreezeCheck from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or in other countries where our service providers operate. Those countries may have data-protection laws that differ from the laws of your country.

    18. Changes to this Privacy Policy

    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date below and, where appropriate, provide notice. Your continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised Privacy Policy, subject to applicable law.
